The Missouri Entertainment & Event Center's primary use is as the grounds for the Ozark Empire Fair, which takes place every year during late July and early August. During the rest of the year, varied events and livestock shows take place at the E*Plex, consisting of the center's two large indoor exhibit halls, and in other structures like the grandstand and the arena. Set on the north side of the city, the center is just off the interstate and directly beside Dickerson Park Zoo.
